Personality: 

 As her nature may suggest, Daiyu has always been the shy type. Unknown Pokemon tend to unnerve and frighten her, and she generally avoids frightening situations if possible. Daiyu usually comes off as a quite friendly, happy and optimistic Pokemon, and could be described as 'very feminine'. She is mostly quite modest, except for when it comes to complimenting her hair or fur, which she takes great pride in caring for. Her positive and cutesy outward appearence greatly masks her inner attitude and negativity, which you would be almost surprised to see come out of her. She can be a little judgemental of others, and sometimes her anxiety towards others can manifest in such a way that she may come to dislike something about someone from even the smallest experience with them. Daiyu has large discomfort with crowds and feels better when there's someone around her that she knows. Through being in Armonia for high school and returning home for a period of time, she has gained some confidence in herself, which has made her a tad less timid.. but a tad more vain/arrogant.

History: <sub>Daiyu was born into quite a large, wealthy family consisting of her Father, Mother, 4 older brothers and her grandmother, all of which are also Mienshao. Daiyu's father was a very experienced martial artist and he longed to teach all of his children everything he knew about martial arts,fighting/battling and perhaps even have them take over the family dojo. Although Daiyu was never fond of fighting or battle, her father would take her with him anyway about twice a week for training. However, Daiyu couldn't master techniques as fast as her brothers, and generally had such little interest in the dojo, that she was often scolded and/or kept behind for extra lessons with her strict father.

-Because Daiyu wasn't interested in the future that was intended to her by her father, she sought out other ways for him and the rest of her family to be proud of her. In her free time and at school, she found after a while that she really enjoyed drawing. Daiyu would sketch just about anything that seemed interesting or new to her, and soon enough she came to love just about any type of visual art, so long as it wasn't the "art of fighting" that her father pushed on her. 

After a couple of years of the constant training with her father and brothers, Daiyu eventually evolved into Mienshao. Her family, especially her father were so very proud of her for this feat, mostly because it gave his family more status. Due to her father's reaction to her evolution, Daiyu saw this as a good reason to quit training altogether. She instead, became even more focused on her art. Though no matter what marks she got in school or how good an artwork of hers turned out, she couldn't impress her father the same way as she did when she evolved.

Throughout school, Daiyu didn't have a large amount of friends. Although she was nice and sweet, she was still very timid and unsure of others because of her art hobby and the seclusion caused by spending so much time with her parents. Daiyu's parents eventually made her apply to go to a private school on Faraway Island, seeing it as a good place for her to gain some confidence and 'earn a name for herself'. After attending the Armonia institute for a few years, Daiyu returned home upon her parents beckoning for her to return. Her confidence had greatly improved since she had left home to attend the school, and her parents were quite proud of her scholarly accomplishments.

In the time between then and the present; Daiyu was able to confront her father about her lack of interest in the the family dojo. Their relationship is still quite rocky, but her father gave in to her, and finally agreed to her wish to pursue another interest other than his own. However, his pride still remained strong and he wished for his only daughter to make the Yin family's name well-known in another way. This small bit of encouragement(albeit, a weird form of it) boosted Daiyu's interest in returning to school for her favorite field, and what better place could she know of than the schools on Faraway Island. This time with her father's full approval and consent, Daiyu sent her application to attend Mirage College, in hopes of returning to the island where she had made so many high school memories.</sub>


Hobbies: 
-Sketching outdoors. She particularly finds gardens relaxing.
-drawing people she sees. You never know what type of unique Pokemon you'll run into.
-Self grooming. She's quite particular about looking her best and being clean.
-Collecting cute and pretty things. Particularly flowers and stuffed toys. 
-making tea! She is quite fond of tea, however because she likes sweet things, she often puts in too much sugar.
-She loves feral Pokemon, and often feeds them. She has a few pets at home now because of her love for them.
-In Particular she's grown to like drawing other Pokemon and designing outfits.

Extras/Fun Facts!
~ She has notable phobias of Swimming, Thunderstorms, and Men. The latter of which she is working to overcome.
~ Actually, she is quite a bit better at get along with males now. She may still be a little wary, but she has a bit of control of how much of this she shows outwardly.
~ Her fur is much softer and silkier than most other Mienshaos. This is from her constant grooming.
~ However, it is a force to be reckoned with in battle, should such an opportunity arise.
~ Her father expects her to marry a fine, wealthy man.
~ Daiyu is bisexual with a preference to women, though...
~ She can speak chinese. (I mean if you don't mind google translate...)
~ She adores sweets and pastries.
~ She really loves Stunfisk. There is a pond full of them and Goldeen at her home in Icirrus City.
~ Daiyu is quite protective of her arm fur, she doesn't just let anyone touch it, and it is in fact quite sensitive. 
~ Cooking is not a skill she is very good at..
~Daiyu was originally going to be a Vulpix.
~Battling is still not her favorite thing, but she can tolerate it now.
